Pet Calendar Photo Contest

How to enter..

All entries must be received by midnight on Sept. 28, 2009.  All times are eastern.

Select a good digital photo of your pet and complete the entry form below.  IMOM strongly recommends a photo without too much background.  Your backyard is probably beautiful but we would rather people vote for your pet, not your back yard!

(1) Send your photo

• Submitted photos must be high-resolution, full-size (not edited or cropped). The photographs should be a minimum of 300 dpi, or 2400 x 3000 pixels (landscape) in JPEG (JPG) format for printing high-quality 8x10 images for the calendar. A six megapixel camera on its highest 
  resolution setting should provide an excellent-quality digital 
  photograph. If your digital camera has a separate quality setting, it should be set for the higher quality photographs.
  
  PLEASE NOTE: If the photo you submit does not adhere to the required specifications (full-size original photo for printing at 8"x10" size, minimum of 300 dpi, or 2400x3000 pixels, in JPEG format), then your pet's photo and bio will not appear on our calendar, even if you are one of the 12 winners. The entry for the next runner-up will be used 
  on the calendar instead of your entry.

• Color photo is preferred

• No humans in photo, or photo will be rejected

Please type "Contest" AND your pet's first and last name in the subject line. If the pet is in rescue, include the name of the rescue in the message.

Your photo should be sent to contest@imom.org.

(2) Submit an entry form:

Please complete the entire form.  Incomplete entry forms will not be accepted.
 

Part 1 for inclusion on your pets web page along with their photo: Date Your full name      Pet's name        State of residency      Email   Re-type email Have you already sent your pet's photo to IMOM for the contest? YES NO If your pet wins the contest, what is the name of the 501(c)(3) you will ask IMOM to share profits with? Web site for 501(c)(3) When entry forms have no stated winner for 25% of profit, the IMOM Board of Directors will choose an organization. In the space below, tell voters all about your pet.  Why are they so special and why should they win this contest?  You don't have to be a good writer.  Write what is in your heart, and in your own words.  IMOM will not do any edits except for spelling. Do not type in all caps.  Your story is going to be copied and pasted into a web page.  It can be as long or as short as you like. You will not be notified when your pet's photo and story gets posted to our web site.  It all depends on how busy we get.  IMOM advises you to check our site so you'll know when to start getting the word out to friends so they can vote for your pet. If you are one of the contest winners, this bio will appear on the calendar along with your pet's photo. You may tell us whatever you like about your pet -- what makes them special, how they came into your life, and anything else you'd like to share.  You are allowed only 300 spaces. If you go over that  the form will not submit. We encourage you to use the entire allocated number of characters so that other people can learn as much as possible about your pet.   IMOM Pet Photo Calendar Contest Terms & Conditions I hereby certify that the photo submitted, which I certify is my original work and which I own all rights to, may be used for the IMOM, Inc. ("IMOM") Pet Photo Calendar Contest. I also certify that I am at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States. All subjects in the photo have relinquished any and all rights they may have with regard to use and/or publication of the photo and their likeness or name. All photos become the property of IMOM, which reserves the right to publish, edit, display on its web site, or otherwise use the photos, the likenesses in them, and/or the rescue group's and/or owner's name, for publication, advertising, and/or promotional purposes without payment to the entrant or any persons or subjects appearing in them. No photographs will be returned. In consideration of IMOM's acceptance of my photo, I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold IMOM, its affiliates, agents, employees, volunteers, successors, and assigns forever harmless from and against any and all liability, claims, and actions for injury or damages or losses of any kind that might be sustained by the photo's acceptance, use, or distribution.
